Chair and Bottle III




Preparatory drawing and resulting lithograph. The tonal values in the print (such as they are) were achieved with the acid tint technique. The litho was printed on chine colle.

This is wonderful...I think you're getting closer to the Morandi bottles.

I like the key a lot. Is that a switch key? Also, the chair leg in the background is a nice touch.

The key (a switch key) was a last-minute addition. I think it should be bigger, or have a different presence somehow.

Morandi is an all-timer. There's a reproduction of one of his paintings hanging in the school cafeteria, so I think about him every time I buy a muffin.
